Here are a few answers to questions you might be wondering. If you are still curious please contact Dan or Eileen directly.
Question

Are kids welcome?

Answer

Yes, it's summer camp! Just let us know ahead of time so we can situate you in a large enough cabin. There will be kid friendly events throughout the day as well as a movie later in the evening.

Question

What time should I arrive at the ceremony?

Answer

Camp is open anytime after 10:30 am for you to arrive and check in. The ceremony will begin at 5:00 pm and is a 5-10 minute walk from the main camp grounds.

Question

Is there parking for the ceremony or reception?

Answer

Yes, when you arrive at Camp Laurelwood you will be directed where to park.

Question

Is there a dress code?

Answer

Dress cocktail casual, but don't forget this is a summer camp! The ground can be uneven and most of the events are outdoors so please dress appropriately.

Question

How do I get to camp?

Answer

If you are not driving, there are trains that run from New York to Madison or Guildford, Connecticut. Both towns are only a few miles from the camp and also where most of the hotels are. We also suggest that if you're coming from the airport or in a group from the city that you look into Uber or Lyft

Question

So, I'm staying at the camp. What do I need to bring?

Answer

As the wedding is in late May and the weather can vary that time of year - please bring weather appropriate clothing and sleeping attire. Layers are key! You will want everything you may need to get yourself together for activities and the main events if you're staying at the camp (blow dryers, towels, toiletries, etc. will not be provided.) Also, if it's at all possible, please bring bed linens, pillows and/or sleeping bag. We will be providing bedding and linens for out of town guests should they need it. There will also be heaters on site, if necessary.

Question

What are the accommodations like at camp?

Answer

If you've been to a sleep away summer camp, you'll feel right at home. The majority of the bunks hold 12 campers. When we get a final count of who's staying with us, we'll try to accommodate as many private/group or family bunks as possible. Your bunkmates also might be people we know you like or think you should meet! Everyone who's staying in a cabin should plan to bring their own sheets, pillow and sleeping bag. If you are coming a long distance and can't bring your own bedding, let us know, early, so we can make arrangements for you.

Question

How much does it cost to stay at camp and how do I secure a cabin?

Answer

Please check out the information under the Travel section. There is a link to PayPal as well as a form to fill out to better accommodate you. The cost is $25 per person for over night camping.
