Shout out to bumble, yes the dating app, for our modern day love story! With a quick swipe to the right, our lives crossed paths and life's been better since. Ironically, the prompt on my profile that Chase responded to was "what would our fake love story be?". Essentially my way of weeding out men who weren't clever and unwilling to put in the effort to give me a good rom-com type love story. And Chase exceeded any expectation! With his quick wit and clear love for a good rom-com type love story, his prompt had me at least wanting to learn more over a first date. Within a few weeks, we sat at brewery, the Wandering Tortoise, and yapped for 4 solid hours later and ended by planning our next date! From there, there were weekend trips up north with the pups, beach trips to Carlsbad with Chase's family, Notre Dame football tailgates with my family, about 100 concerts of some of our favorite artists, Chase cooking me dinner with our favorite bottle(s) of wine... better than ANY love story I could have made up even in my dreams. And 18 months later, on April 5th, Chase led me out to his parent's backyard, which was covered in pink flowers, and asked me the easiest question I've ever had to answer.
