At the turn of the 19th century, Nantucket was the whaling capital of of the world. For the history buffs (and/or Moby Dick fans), the Whaling Museum offers a wonderful insight into the rich whaling history of Nantucket and an opportunity to learn how this little island rose to become a global industrial capital.
One of the most photographed spots on Nantucket, this functioning lighthouse has been welcoming ferries into the harbor since 1746.

This is a brewery, winery, and distillery all in one! Cisco's famous outdoor courtyard provides a place to relax and enjoy live music, fresh oysters and clams, food trucks, and Island favorite beers like Gripah, Shark Tracker, and Whale's Tale Pale Ale. Cisco has a courtesy shuttle van, traveling non-stop, back and forth, every afternoon between the Visitor’s Center downtown at 25 Federal St. and the brewery, for free.
Jetties is a great beach with a restaurant and facilities. It is a north shore beach so there are small waves.
Surfside is a South Shore beach which will have bigger waves. It is lifeguarded, has a snack bar and bathrooms.
This is a great 2.5 mile scenic loop around the quaint village of Sconset. It is easy to take a bus or Uber about 15-20 minutes to the town of Sconset. There is also a couple cute restaurants out in Sconset (Claudette's, Summer House, Sconset Cafe) and the Sconset Market which has great pastries and ice cream. It is also worth the longer walk to Sankaty Lighthouse.
The best ice cream on the island (and potentially anywhere)! It is worth the line. Trust me, attending The Juice Bar will be the best ice cream experience you will ever have.
Referred to as simply "The Box", this is one of the best dive bars in America. While there is no chicken, come here for great live music.
