Mateo and Abreham met freshman year at UTA because they lived in the same dorm. Despite being in different majors, Abreham and Mateo's relationship grew as they found similar interests in extracurricular activities such as intramural sports, campus involvement, and eventually Resident Assistant involvement. Mateo and Abreham lived in the same dorm until senior year when they moved into the same apartment as roommates. Although they live in different states now, the two still find ways to catch up and hangout whenever possible.

Muid and Mateo met freshman year at UTA because they lived on the same floor. Although they did not live in the same dorm after freshman year, they still found time to hang out with their mutually busy schedules. Muid and Mateo became roommates their freshman year where their relationship grew stronger and has continued to grow since.

Mateo and Brian met at work. They worked together for about 2 years as merely coworkers until company renovations placed their desks right next to each other. From there they got to learn more about each other and found they have many similar interests and pastimes. Eventually they started hanging out outside of the office to do other activities together besides just work.

Mateo met Kir, Effe's brother and role model, soon after Effe and Mateo began dating. When they met, Mateo quickly learned that Kir had lived up to the hype. Mateo is very grateful for Kir and his support throughout his relationship with Effe and excited to further grow his relationship with his brother in law.

Austin is Mateo's sister's fiancé. From the moment Mateo met him, it was clear he was someone who truly cares for his sister, and Mateo could see how much she means to him. Over the years, they've shared many great conversations, laughs, and memories, and Austin quickly became a key part of the family. The past few years have allowed Mateo more opportunities to hang out with him and Austin is someone Mateo's glad to call a friend and future brother-in-law.

Mateo met Roslin because he lived across the hall from him in the same dorm freshman year. Their relationship grew as they continued to hang out throughout the year. Besides hanging out and catching up, Mateo enjoys meaningful conversations with Roslin. Mateo gets excited when Roslin comes to functions and group hangouts because he is the life of the party.
