Plaza Principal
Check out the plaza! Grab a michelada or an ice cream cone. Buy some chopped up fruit and people watch. At night several vendors set up to sell. Think churros, hot dogs, fries, corn in a cup!
Mercado Municipal de Ayutla
Hungry? Hungover? You can find a variety of foods here from fresh squeezed juice to Menudo. I highly recommend checking out the Mercado for breakfast!

Check out my cousins' store! Walk here for snacks, drinks, and toiletries. At night there is a great TACO STAND right across the street!
Cenaduría "El Becerro" Orozco
This dinner spot has great "antojitos mexicanos". Craving a torta, tacos, enchiladas, quesadillas? Check out this neat little cenaduría.
Piedra De La Tortuga
This moderate hike is fun for the whole family. Be sure to take lots of water and bug spray. The initial hike is a cobblestone path to the Capilla de la Virgen de Guadalupe. This small church overlooks the entire town. If you want to challenge yourself, try hiking up to the "Turtle Rock". Let us know to know if you want to rock climb to the top of the rock and get a 360 degree view of the entire valley. (The entire hike to the top of the rock around 1 hour)
Unión de Tula
This town is located 30 minutes by car from Ayutla. It has lots of shopping and roof top restaurants.
Talpa de Allende
Talpa de Allende is 1 hour away from Ayutla by car. Millions of people make the pilgrimage to Talpa every year to visit "La Chaparrita". This Pueblo Mágico is great for a day trip. Tasty treats, souvenir shopping, and historic sightseeing.
Autlán
Autlán is one hour away from Ayutla. This is the closest ¨big city¨. You can find lots of specialty shops and seafood restaurants here.

Take a tour of a Tequila distillery. Tours leave from Downtown Guadalajara.
Ecoturismo Paraiso Extremo- Ziplining
Check out this ziplining attraction in the Sierra. There are also cabins and ATVs available for rent.

The best breakfast in the area! Huge hand made tortillas! Chilaquiles, menudo, crema fresca. Stop by on your way to Talpa de Allende.
