Keep in mind it will be HOT! Feel free to wear what you feel comfortable in! Just bring your dancing shoes! The ceremony will be indoors- however the church has no AC- only a breeze. The reception will be in a large banquet hall.
Feel free to arrive to Ayutla any time before the ceremony. We will be there all of June! Many other guests will be arriving in the few days before the wedding, so we can coordinate carpooling. Please let us know when you plan to arrive.
The town is very small and walkable! The church is a 9 minute walk from the hotel and the reception hall is 3 minutes away from the plaza. Additionally, a few family members will be giving rides to and from the ceremony. There are also "mototaxis" you can take around town. The town is easy to navigate if you want to rent a car for day trips. However, you must rent the car in Guadalajara. Just keep in mind roads are not always maintained to "American" standards and you will have to navigate potholes and construction.
We have a hotel block at ¨Sierra Vista¨. The rooms are brand new and modern. There is also another hotel closer to the plaza, although it is a little more rustic. Please contact us for rates and booking.
In June, Jalisco is hot and humid. It is also the start of the rainy season. I suggest dressing for hot weather. Don't forget a light rain jacket and some comfortable walking shoes if you plan to stick around for a while.
You can exchange for pesos at your local bank or at the airport before you arrive in town.

Your phone will work if you turn on "data roaming". Check with your carrier for additional fees and coverage. Occasionally, cell service is lost in the town, however it usually returns within a few hours.
Our home has wifi as well as the rest of our families' homes. The hotels are equipped with wifi as well. Although it might not be as fast as you are used to.
