Barton Creek Square
A popular outlet mall in south Austin. It has an AMC movie theater and a variety of shops and eateries. When we go shopping, it's usually here! Un popular centro comercial outlet en el sur de Austin. Cidercade Austin
We've been here a few times and always have a blast! They have tons of classic arcade games and a variety of drinks on tap. In between games, we love to sit on the balcony and admire Lady Bird Lake. Mayfield Park and Nature Preserve
We went here just before we got engaged on Mount Bonnell. Here, the peacocks roam free, the fish ponds are plentiful, and there's a short hiking trail that loops around the park. This is where Edwin proposed! We've been here many times and adore the view. There are lots of steps on the way up, and the way down can be rocky, so bring your best outdoor shoes. We used to study here for HOURS and would come home smelling like coffee. These days, it's a fun spot to sip coffee, enjoy the outdoors, and listen to live music! We love hot sauce so naturally, we also enjoy chicken wings. There's several locations around Austin, but we usually stop by this one. Our go-to sauces are original hot and lemon pepper. If you love cats, then this is the place for you. Once you've scheduled a visit online, you can pet and play with adoptable cats and kittens. Kenny doesn't approve, but they're just too cute! Zilker Botanical Garden
A beautiful place with lots to see - multiple koi fish ponds, a variety of gardens and even some dinosaur tracks! All connected by walking trails. Un hermoso lugar con mucho que ver: múltiples estanques de peces koi, diversos jardines e incluso huellas de dinosaurios. Todo conectado por senderos.
Zilker Metropolitan Park
This is another one of our (and Cece's) favorite spots in the city. Most of the year, this sprawling park is filled with families, dogs, and avid volleyball players. It also hosts music events such as Austin City Limits and Blue on the Green, and others like the Trail of Lights. We've enjoyed all of the events we've attended, so definitely check out the calendar on the park's website! Este es otro de nuestros lugares favoritos (y de Cece) de la ciudad. La mayor parte del año, este extenso parque se llena de familias, perros y ávidos jugadores de voleibol.
