Our story begins with a social media app. Dom and I met on Facebook. We knew each other through mutual friends. We really did not speak a lot, until one day Dom sent me a message on Facebook in my inbox. At the time I was really uninterested in anything anyone had to say via Facebook in the inbox because the messages were usually a mess lol. But because we did speak on occasion I decided to read and reply to his messages every now and then. Before long every now and then turned into every day. All throughout the day, we would speak to each other. From the start, our conversations and interactions were so organic. It always just flowed for us. We went from inboxes to text messages. The more we got to know each other the more we became great friends. We would hang out with friends and sometimes just the two of us and it would always be so much fun. I loved how funny he was and how down-to-earth and chill he was as well. And he loved that I was a tomboy and that I was also down to earth and chill. As friends, we just clicked. For about 2 years we were friends and within those 2 years, other feelings started to develop. It caught both of us by surprise. Neither one of us was looking for a relationship. But we could not deny what was happening between us. After long talks, because we did not want to rush into anything and mess up the great friendship that we had built. We decided to take things to the next level. We are both so happy that we did. Now we are happily engaged to be married. I use to laugh at the thought of finding love on the internet or on social media. But it definitely happened to us. We use to think it was so cliche when people would say " I get to marry my best friend" but we can honestly say now we know that feeling. We know how great it is to be with and love your best friend.

What started out as a family beach day turned into a day that will never be forgotten. On 7/19/2019, the family decided to go to the beach. We got to the beach found a spot and preceded to enjoy our fun in the sun. As the day started to slow down, the kids and Dom were all relaxing on the blankets I was sitting in a beach chair. Our daughter started to play some music on her phone. All of these old songs from our past came on. So we all started to talk about the times of the past. Dom kept kissing me. Which wasn't unusual because we always just show random affection to one another. Our daughter was commenting on how long we have been together and how fast time has flown by. Dom then comes around on the side of the chair and writes something in the sand. He tells me to read it and it says "Dom and Brina" and it's a heart. So of course I and our daughter are all mushy over it. lol. The conversation continues and a song comes on and my daughter was expressing to us her feelings about how happy Dom has made me and how happy they are that he is in their life. Dom starts to express how happy he is to be in our lives and how he plans to be there forever. Then out of nowhere, he kneels down beside my chair and when I turn to him he had the ring box in his hand and he proceeded to ask me to marry him. I and the kid's mouth dropped in disbelief. None of us saw this coming. My daughter quickly pulled out her phone and tried to record what she could. I asked if they had planned it because of how things played out, the conversation along with the song that was playing seemed like they were working together. They kept telling me that it wasn't planned. I asked Dom when did he plan this. He said that he actually had a whole other proposal planned. He said he knew that he wanted the kids to be a part of it. He said he had just grabbed the ring before we left the house. "Being there with the music and the kids just felt right,and so I just proposed that day" -Dom
