Flight
SFO is the closest airport to San Francisco and our wedding activities. There's a taxi stand and dedicated Uber/Lyft pickups outside the terminals, plus a direct connection to BART for an easy public transit option. Check out Harvey Milk Terminal 1 while you're there for an amazing installation about a San Francisco LGBTQ pioneer.
Flight
Oakland International Airport is another good option for flying in or out of the Bay Area which sometimes has cheaper flights than SFO. It's 25 minutes from downtown San Francisco, just across the Bay, with a connection to BART for public transit access.
Train
Muni is San Francisco's municipal transit system, with a network of buses, light rail trains, trolleys, and cable cars stretching to every corner of the City. You can download the MuniMobile app to buy transit passes on your phone, get a digital Clipper card through Apple Wallet or the Clipper app, or buy a physical Clipper card at train stations. Lines that run to or near Golden Gate Park include the 5, 5R, 7, 21, 33, and 44. The 9, 9R, 12, and 27 bus lines connect directly to Oasis, which is near the Van Ness subway station.
Train
BART is the Bay Area Rapid Transit regional rail system, with connections to SFO, OAK, downtown San Francisco, Oakland, and the Mission, Glen Park, and Balboa Park neighborhoods. BART also accepts Clipper cards for payment, and you can get a digital Clipper card through Apple Wallet or the Clipper app, or buy a physical Clipper card at train stations.
Travel Note
San Francisco has an abundance of taxis and rideshare cars. We recommend downloading the Flywheel app for hailing a cab (https://www.flywheel.com/riders), though you can also easily hail an Uber or Lyft.
Travel Note
Bay Wheels is San Francisco's bikeshare program, managed by Lyft. You can rent e-bikes or traditional bikes at stations and locations across the City, including in Golden Gate Park. We recommend using Google Maps for biking directions and routes.
Travel Note
Our ceremony is in beautiful Golden Gate Park, where there is a free shuttle offered seven days a week. Newly expanded shuttle service includes a route from Haight and Stanyan streets, along JFK Drive, to Transverse Drive, with stops along the way at some of the park's most popular attractions.
