The story of Bethany and Eduardo – the meeting that started online and turned into a real, life-long love story. They met on Hinge in June 2023, while Bethany was briefly in town visiting Chapel Hill and exploring her future home. Their meeting was simply right place, right time. Bethany would then go back home to Kentucky for two months, while Eduardo remained behind in Raleigh. However, from the moment the first message was sent, their connection was strong and undeniable. Realizing there was a spark there, they built the foundation of their relationship with phone calls, facetimes, and countless texts until they could be together in person. They talked about everything from their families, WKU & App State, hobbies, and their pasts, not realizing they were going to be each other’s futures forever. In August of 2023, Bethany moved to North Carolina to begin graduate school, and so began the two becoming inseparable. Their first date, however improvised, was memorable and neither of them wanted it to end. From that day, their love continued to grow. Their shared experiences helped them learn about each other: from Bethany learning all the intricacies of tennis to support Eduardo, or Eduardo realizing that matching Halloween costumes were imperative to a successful and happy relationship; they were always supporting each other and prioritizing one another. Along the way, they both became certain they had found their person, so on July 5th, 2025, Eduardo proposed to Bethany at ZincHouse with many of their favorite people there to watch and many others they wish could have witnessed one of the most amazing days in their lives. Since then, their love has continued to flourish, and Maggie and Appa have been equally as excited about this new chapter. Bethany and Eduardo are so excited and privileged to experience this kind of love and are looking forward to sharing that with the most amazing people in their lives.
