Edgar and I have known each other since 6th grade, we were good friends that got in trouble with the teacher because we talked too much, sometimes... I would help him with his math homework, and he would pay me in gum. We both had crushes on each other and remained friends. Freshman year of high school we were in different schools. I remember my mom telling me that she'd see Edgar working in the neighborhood grocery store by our old Elementary school. She liked to compliment his work ethic. We got the chance to reconnect at my best friend's Quinceanera. The next school year he transferred to the same school I was attending. While in our sophomore year, we continued to help each other with schoolwork. And remained really good friends, like nothing had changed since 6th grade. During our senior year we became a lot closer and ended up going on our first date after a long day presenting in the city's science fair. Yes, we both were nerdy high schoolers that enjoyed school and took AP classes. We have been together ever since! January 29th 2024 will mark 10 years of being with my best friend, and I cannot wait to continue to make more memories with him.
