Yasmeen and Edgar’s love story began on their very first date at a vegan restaurant—at the time, Yasmeen was vegan. It was an early sign of Edgar’s selfless nature and his habit of putting others before himself, because anyone who knows Edgar knows he is very much not vegan. Over good food and easy conversation, they quickly realized neither wanted the date to end, so they took a stroll through the Orange Circle just to spend a little more time together. From that first evening on, their love has continued to blossom and grow deeper. Their dates have been filled with hikes, trying new foods, and, of course of Disney dates. Even in the midst of life’s most difficult seasons, Edgar’s unwavering presence not just for Yasmeen, but for her family too, became a source of comfort and strength, bringing them closer and showing Yasmeen the incredible partner she will walk through life with. Edgar is always finding ways to put Yasmeen first—making her laugh, supporting her in every way, and even using his height to double as her shade. His humor, calm demeanor, trustworthiness, and outgoing personality are just a few of the many qualities that made Yasmeen fall more in love with him and see him as her forever. Edgar is the yin to Yasmeen’s yang.

It all started when a boy met a girl .... on a dating app. They matched just like any couple would match on Bumble. Although without them knowing, there were several chances it was not meant to be. To start, if it wasn't for Yasmeen's cousins persuading her to reactivate her dating app the week before she never would have matched. Not to mention the fact she only matched with Edgar because she was working in Fountain Valley at the time he was swiping. There were moments Edgar could have ruined it such as "ghosting" her for two days while he was away in Chicago, saying some unique things, nearly calling off the first date because Yasmeen was vegan, or that Yasmeen doesn't drink coffee. But, for Yasmeen she sensed an amazing connection with Edgar starting with his height, his humor, and caring nature towards her. For Edgar, he knew she was also caring, that she was a foodie and dessert fiend, and she was committed. Because of the distance between the two, the dating was not frequent, it started with lunch dates, but it then turned into movie dates, followed by Disney dates. Yasmeen took on some of Edgar's interests like sports teams, music acts, outdoor activities, and getting together with his friends and family. Edgar did the same in return with her music interests, family gatherings, and visiting her friends and their celebrations. The connection felt true and genuine. Not to mention everyone always mentioning Yasmeen could do better, but they both care, respect, and honor one another with everything they do and look forward to the future after their wedding.
