Maid of Honor
Jessica and I met in 7th grade, English class and I am forever thankful that we did. I can always count on her, regardless of what it is. She's one of my chosen sisters and I wouldn't have it any other way. After 16 years of friendship, countless adventures, many game nights, and birthday celebrations, I can't wait for her to be a part of our special day.
Best Man
Christopher and I have known each other since Jr. High. He is like a brother, he drives me crazy sometimes but I love him nonetheless. I will always have his back as I know that he will always have mine. I am honored that he will be right next to me as a take this next step in my life.
Maid of Honor
Sylvia and I also met in the 7th grade and we are practically neighbors. I am so lucky that we have been friends for the past 16 years; and just like Jess, she's my other sister. She's the one I call for life advice, because she always knows what to do. We have shared so much throughout half our lives, and I'm so excited for her to be there on the biggest day of our lives.
Groomsman
Zach and I have worked together at Hermosa Drive Elementary for 4 years. We have endured crazy kids and even crazier parents together. We are two of the few men that work at the school so we are always targets for the other teachers to pick on, but we stand strong together. I would not be able to survive the job without him there.
Bridesmaid
Sara is technically my cousin, but we grew up like sisters. I am thankful I had her to look up to and to share my childhood with. From birthday parties, hand-me-downs, sleepovers, carpools, college, engagements, baby showers, and now weddings; we have shared milestones with each other. Now its time to share another one!
Groomsman
I consider him more my cousin, than Marianna's cousin. His family welcomes me into their home like I was one of their children. I can always count on him to take my side when Marianna and I are arguing about something. Marianna always teases me by saying that I stole her cousin from her. I'm grateful that I will steal him again when he stands on my side during the wedding. Also, we have the same name. Legendary enough.
Bridesmaid
Stephanie is Edgar's big sister. Through these last 9 years, I feel as if she's my big sister too. She's the adventure junkie that I vicariously live through. I admire her courage, strength, pride, and "cool mom" factor. I'm excited to be gaining her as a sister-in-law.
Groomsman
Tim is the big brother that I didn't know I needed, but got anyways when he started dating my sister. I am thankful that he has become a part of my family. He is the one that I can always talk sports with and he endures my hatred for his favorite team, the Clippers. I can't wait until my niece and nephew grow up so I can turn them into Laker fans.
Bridesmaid
Esme is my speech and craft buddy. I remember meeting her on my first date with Edgar; and I remember how sweet and inviting she was. I am so grateful that she has treated me like part of the family since day one. Soon, we can officially call each other sisters, and I couldn't be more thrilled.
Groomsman
Jerry is the brother in law that I can geek-out with. I can always talk to him about the problems in my life and he is always there to listen or help me take my mind off of things. He endures my crazy family so that alone garners my respect. I'm very lucky that he is a part of my family.
Bridesmaid
Sherry is my hermana, plain and simple. Thanks to her I finally had someone to teach me about hair and makeup, someone to geek out about being organized, and someone to make my brother happy. Plus, it makes our engagement so much sweeter, because we were able to share that moment with Sherry and Tony.
Groomsman
Tony is Marianna's older brother. I am grateful that he did not kill me when I picked up Marianna on our first date. I am also grateful that he protected Marianna growing up and I hope that I have proven to him that I am capable of taking over that job for him. I am honored to add him to my family as my new brother.
