Things To Do

The Funk Zone

137 Anacapa Street, Santa Barbara, CA 93101

Filled with wine-tasting rooms, breweries, restaurants, art galleries, and colorful murals, it’s one of our favorite areas to visit whenever we’re in town. Whether you’re strolling between tastings or stopping in for a casual drink, there’s always something happening. Some of our favorite spots to grab a drink are Topa Topa, Validation Ale, and Test Pilot.

Santa Barbara Zoo

500 Ninos Drive, Santa Barbara, CA 93103

The Santa Barbara Zoo is a charming, ocean view zoo featuring animals from around the world, all just minutes from downtown. Our favorite exhibit is the Australian Walkabout where you can get up close and personal with kangaroos and wallabies.

Old Mission Santa Barbara

2201 Laguna Street, Santa Barbara, CA 93105

The Santa Barbara Mission, known as the “Queen of the Missions,” is a beautiful historic landmark with stunning architecture and peaceful gardens overlooking the city. It’s a must visit spot to learn about local history.

Isla Vista

Isla Vista, CA

Take a walk down our memory lane in Isla Vista! Located next to the UC Santa Barbara campus, this is where we called home for four years- grab nachos at Freebirds, a bagel from Bagel Café, or a beer and sandwich at Sam’s To Go.

Beach

Santa Barbara, CA

East and West Beach are the closest to downtown and are perfect for sunbathing, volleyball, swimming, paddleboarding, and scenic strolls along the bike path. You can’t go wrong with any beach in Santa Barbara so other great options include Leadbetter Beach, Arroyo Burro Beach (be sure to grab brunch at the Boathouse at Hendry’s), and Butterfly Beach.
