Flight
The only airport in Bali is Ngurah Rai International Airport (Denpasar/DPS). If you're flying to Bali from within Southeast Asia, we would recommend budget airlines such as AirAsia, Scoot, or Malindo Air. In July/August you should expect longer immigration queues than normal :-( We think probably all of our guests will NOT need a visa, because a 30 day entry is free for 160 nationalities. Check here for more details: www.bali.com/visa-indonesia-entry-requirements-bali.html It should take 45 minutes - 1 hour to get from Ngurah Rai International Airport to the Uluwatu area, by taxi. Note: the only taxis available from the airport are from the official taxi counter. We recommend pre-booking a private taxi to pick you up when you arrive eg. booked through your hotel. This will save you some hassle. Grab is not available from the airport and limited in some parts of Bali.
Travel Note
The wedding and reception will take place in Uluwatu, an area famous for surfing, clifftop ocean views, beaches, great food, shopping and Hindu temples. Book accommodation in the area nearby to Villa Pemutih, in Uluwatu. This villa is on a road called Jalan Pemutih, which is off Jalan Labuansait. If you look on Google Maps, you'll see there are many, many hotels etc. in this area. Ideally, book somewhere within walking distance. On Jalan Labuansait there are lots of restaurants and cafes etc. Here are some suggestions: - Radisson Blu Uluwatu - Rock n Reef - Village Bali - Padang Padang Inn - Harmonious Surf Camp - Lullaby Bungalows - Anantara Uluwatu $$$$ July is unfortunately peak season in Bali, so please do book accommodation ASAP! It's very cheap to rent scooters here, and it's the quickest and easiest way to get around the Uluwatu area. Taxis and Grab cars are also available (but note that some areas do not allow tourists to use Grabs).
