Our wedding party is wearing semi-formal dresses and jeans with vests and white button up shirts. We request our family and friends to wear nice jeans with a nice button up shirt or a semi-formal dress/outfit that coordinates our wedding colors. Our wedding colors are in the picture up above.
We kindly request that you avoid colors of black and colors traditionally reserved for the Bride - whites, ivories, and creams.
Ceremony will begin at four o’clock pm. Guests can start arriving at three thirty pm. Ceremony will be held behind the barn.
Please check with the Bride and Groom first before bringing them. Due to limited capacity, we can only allow so many people to attend.
We are having an "unplugged" ceremony. This just means that we kindly ask all phones and devices be put away and on silent/turned off during the ceremony. We have hired a professional photographer and videographer to capture some of the most important moments and we'd hate to have a well-meaning person's phone/device blocking that moment for them to capture. After the ceremony, feel free to take as many photos as you want!
We have chosen a venue that has our ceremony and reception all in one location. Therefore, no one will have to drive to multiple spots for the entire event. We loved this idea! There is a parking lot at the venue that has spacious parking. If vehicles need to be left at the venue overnight, this is acceptable, but must be picked up the following day.
Another reason we love the venue we chose is the fact we can have our ceremony outside or inside. We have chose to have an outdoor ceremony as the weather will be nice during the spring and the scenery is beautiful. Wait, the news gets better! The outdoor location of our ceremony has a covered roof, so you shouldn't have to worry about sitting directly in the sun. Forbid if the weather doesn't work out in our favor, the ceremony will be moved inside the barn.
We have had so much handed down to us from family members and since living together the past couple of years, we have bought some things we needed. We can't think of a long list of things that we need, but we do have registries with items we would like to upgrade to. We are also asking our family and friends to donate money to our "Honeymoon Fund". For our honeymoon, we will be driving up north to Canada. There will be a box on a table at the venue you can put money into to go towards this fund. If you would rather honor us with a gift, there will be a table for cards and gifts as well. If you are unable to come celebrate with us on our big day and would like to send a gift or money in the mail, our address is listed above.
Our registries are at Bed Bath & Beyond and Amazon. You can get to our registry lists by either clicking on the link under the registry tab on our website or searching for our names under registries on the company websites.
We are choosing to have a company caterer our wedding. Supper will be included after the ceremony. We will also have an open bar after the ceremony. There is a bar included inside the barn that will include water, soda, and alcoholic beverages. The bar will be open to all guests (alcohol for anyone over 21 years of age). Drinks won't cost you a penny. All that we ask is to put some money into the tip jar located at the bar.
We have listed a couple of options of nearby hotels located in Cameron, MO and Chillicothe, MO. We have blocked out rooms at the hotels located under the travel tab for those family and friends who would like to stay at a place near the venue.
