We're getting married!

Our story began in the halls of Eagle Valley Elementary, where we crossed paths for the first time in kindergarten. Over the years, we grew up together, navigating classes, friendships, and countless memories from elementary all the way through college. We became closer in middle school, where afternoons were often spent watching movies and YouTube videos in the reading corner of Madeline’s mom’s classroom. In 7th grade, we teamed up for a speech duo but struggled to find a script—we couldn’t imagine performing a piece where the characters were in love (how gross!). At the start of 9th grade, our conversations grew more frequent, and Isaac finally worked up the courage to ask Madeline to the homecoming dance. She said yes without hesitation, and when he followed up by asking her to be his girlfriend, the answer was the same—a very excited yes. Early in our relationship, during a McDonald’s stop after pep band, Isaac opened a 6-piece nugget box and Madeline commented on how it looked like a tiny ring box. Isaac told her, “I’ll propose out of this someday.” After graduating high school together, we attended Bemidji State University. We spent countless hours together—first as neighbors one floor apart and later living just three doors down from each other. Late one summer evening, Isaac surprised Madeline by pulling the McDonald’s chicken nugget box that he kept from that night in 9th grade—with the ring inside—out of her cupboard and asked her to marry him. Now, we can’t wait to celebrate the beginning of our forever with the people we love most.
