It's a gorgeous 14th century monastery nestled in the flank of the mountain by the lake. What more to say?
Isole Borromee
The three islands (Isola Bella, Isola Madre & Isola dei Pescatori) are all beautiful and accessible by ferry or with one of the many tours. Don't miss the 17th century villa and garden of the Isola Bella!
Giro del Sole
For the more sportive souls among you, you can start a very nice hike from Agra leading to a gorgeous view. It is right behind Colmegna and there are a couple of good restaurants nearby. 3km / +/- 1h10min round trip / easy
Wednesday Market in Luino
If you are still (or already) there on Wednesday, the Luino Market is a must to walk around, enjoy and grab a bite. Dating back to the 16th century, this market was first started by Charles the 5th and, most importantly, has been a Maggiore-Moro tradition for over 30 years and now a Santy-Maggiore one.

Disclaimer : François has been wanting to go there for the past 5 years and, for a variety of reasons, we have not yet managed to go. If you plan to go LET US KNOW so we can join in but please avoid the day of the wedding celebration itself as it might lead to some difficult decisions and a potentially missing groom.
