our journey begins

Ebony and Lindbergh "Lindy" met on Carnival Cruise Lines in November 2023. Ebony was on a cousin's cruise, and DJ Lindy Legend was on the 1s and 2s aboard the cruise ship. Ebony had absolutely no intentions of starting a new relationship any time soon, as she had just went through one of the most challenging years of her life, having lost her mother earlier that year and going through a serious break up the year prior. However, there was something about the DJ that she just could not resist. Could it be his luscious locs? Or his glistening chocolate skin? Or the way he was attentive to his craft? It was most likely the way he locked in on her immediately after noticing her on the dance floor. It was like nothing else and no one else existed in that moment. As the two locked eyes, Ebony carried her body and all her audacity over to the DJ booth. What would come out of her mouth next left Lindy both baffled and pleasantly surprised. Ebony approached the DJ booth, and due to the colorful vibe as you would expect in any nightclub, she communicated mostly in gestured commands. She reached over Lindy, picked up his phone, handed it to him, and whispered (more like yelled) in his ear "unlock it so that I can put my number in". Of course he obliged, because...duh. She simply walked off and carried on with her night as if that didn't just happen. That man was minding his business and unbeknownst to him, his whole world was about to change. Lindy texted Ebony that night when he was done DJ'ing in the nightclub. As a music manager AND the ship's DJ, his time was mostly consumed with work for the duration of her cruise, but he still made time to communicate with her every. single. hour. They talked all night on that first night, mostly about politics and religion (or the lack thereof), health, future goals, and found that they had a lot in common as far as fundamentals and principles. The two have literally not gone an hour without communicating since. They have both traveled across literal seas to meet each other's families, and as the saying goes, THE REST IS HISTORY.
