Florence is extremely walkable and is the best way to explore the city! It is easy to navigate using Apple or Google Maps. If you are renting a car, please make sure that you are aware of the traffic laws and permit restrictions. Given the small size of the city, there are many streets that require a permit to even drive on. Careful, you could end up with a ticket in the mail! Taxis are easy to schedule and arrive quickly. Call the same day (~15-20-minutes before you need to leave) and speak to the operator - don't worry, they speak English! The ceremony will be a Catholic mass and will begin promptly at 3:30pm. Please arrive at 3:00pm, at the latest, to allow for everyone to take their seats and also soak in the beauty of the Italian architecture - trust me, you'll want extra time to check out that ceiling!
