It's a historic site that is currently being revitalized- you'll see this as you enter the park as many buildings are crumbling and being restored. Fort Hancock is a former United States Army fort at Sandy Hook in Middletown Township New Jersey. The coastal artillery base defended the Atlantic coast and the entrance to New York Harbor, with its first gun batteries operational in 1896. Sandy Hook is now home to beaches, trails, historic buildings (including the Post Chapel), old barracks, and officer's row. From the north end, you can see the NYC skyline and even take a ferry to and from NYC which is how many New Yorkers beat the summer heat and get out of the city for the day. You may see some of them taking the last ferry home on our wedding day. It's rich history is a lot to explain on a wedding website but if you're so inclined feel free to read more here: https://www.nps.gov/gate/learn/historyculture/hancock.htm

Yes. If you decide to drive yourself there is plenty of parking. If there is someone at the gate of the park, let them know you are here for the Pagano/Reppy wedding and you will not have to pay for parking. There is limited availability to leave a car overnight but if you'd like to keep your car overnight and take alternative transportation home please talk to Amy and Brenton so they can secure an overnight pass.
As much as we love all of the little ones, this will be an adults-only wedding and due to capacity limitations, we can only include those listed on the invitation. We appreciate you securing childcare so that you can enjoy our special day with us.
Our ceremony will be outside however the backup plan for rain will be to hold it inside the Chapel- but it's not going to rain! The reception will be outdoors rain or shine however there is a tent that will keep everyone dry. That being said please check the weather and dress accordingly. The hook can sometimes be a bit windy as well. You will be walking on grass so ladies, watch out in those stilettos.
Typical outdoor wedding formal attire is suggested. Suits and cocktail dresses/gowns are welcome. No need to wear a tux unless you're feeling extra fancy, then go for it!
Absolutely. Please let Amy and Brenton know of any food accommodations needed. Due to Amy's allergy, this will be a nut-free event.
Yes. The grassy area may be a little bumpy but can be accessed on a wheelchair. Additionally, there is a wheelchair-accessible ramp at the front of the chapel leading into the building and each restroom has an ADA compliant stall
Yes! There is a private area inside the chapel on the second floor that we are designating for all pumping Mamas! Feel free to use that space.
