Jonathan had been working at Essendant for several years when Brittany started working there as a receptionist. They were in different buildings, but any time their paths did cross, they certainly felt an attraction. A few years later, June of 2017, Jonathan completely took Brittany by surprise by messaging her on Facebook. She was so excited that this guy she had always had a crush on seemed interested too. After a couple days of chatting, he asked her out to dinner. They went to a Mexican place (Brittany’s favorite) and spent a few hours talking and getting to know each other better. The next day, they both attended a work hike where they kept to themselves and spent the entire outing talking and laughing. They were immediately smitten with each other and quickly spent all of their time together. It didn’t take long to admit that they both were in love. 2 and a half years went by of countless memories, laughter, life events (like getting their dogs, Angie and Hudson, and buying their first house)... But the biggest memory so far happened on February 15 during their weekend getaway to Redding. Jonathan and Brittany went on a hike to get some fresh air and enjoy the outdoors. Near the Sundial Bridge with the Sacramento River and sunset in the background, Jonathan picked a bench for them to take a break at. He asked if she was happy, to which she, of course, responded with very happy. He got down on one knee and told her that she’s his best friend and he wants to spend the rest of his life with her. When he asked her to marry him, she was already in tears and excitedly said yes. The moment couldn’t have been more perfect. And now the countdown begins for the amazing day that they get to share with the people they love to become Mr. and Mrs. Jonathan Ford.
