Flights

The easiest airport to fly into is Naples International Airport (NAP). Another option is to fly into Rome (FCO) and take a train from Fiumicino Aeroporto station to Napoli Central station. High speed trains make this possible in under 2 hours and are very comfortable and inexpensive. Also from other guests, we have seen record low prices using the Hopper app for flights! We have included the link here.

Flight

Naples International Airport (NAP)

Naples International Airport is approximately 1 hour from Ravello, which is certainly much closer than Rome. While the airport is definitely more conveniently located near Ravello, it is often difficult to find cheap, direct flights into Naples. If you don't mind a layover and paying a little more money, flying into Naples is definitely a great option! From Naples, it is very easy to utilize a shuttle service, car service or taxi to take you directly to Ravello. The following U.S. airports have direct flights to Naples: Philadelphia Los Angeles Dallas Austin Miami New York Chicago San Diego

Flight

Rome Fiumicino Airport (FCO)

Flying into Rome Fiumicino Airport (FCO) is one of the easiest airports to fly into when traveling to the Amalfi Coast, as it offers many direct and affordable flight options. Please note that if you're flying into FCO, there is a bit more travel involved (don't worry, it's very easy, we have done it!) - we will lay out all of the details for you below to make the trip as easy as possible! The following U.S. airports have direct flights to Rome: Atlanta Boston Charlotte Chicago Dallas Dulles (D.C.) Los Angeles Miami New York City Newark Philadelphia NOTE: Below is the budget-friendly way to get to Ravello (via shuttle & train); however, you can also hop on a shuttle bus that will take you directly from Rome Airport to Ravello. The cost of this varies but typically is around 90-100 euro per person. See below for the recommended transfer services. You can also use the shuttle service "Positano Shuttle" to travel from Rome to Positano if you wanted to arrive a few days early and check out Positano (which is about an hour from Ravello and is a must see!).

Train

Leonardo Express Airport Shuttle to Roma Termini Station

Welcome to Italy! After arriving in Rome, the first thing that you will need to do is catch the Leonardo Express Airport Shuttle to the Roma Termini Station, the main train station in Rome, from Rome Airport. Tickets can be purchased in advance of your trip at the link below (click the "view" button), or you can always purchase them at the station if that works better for you! Once on the Leonardo Express, it takes roughly 32 minutes to get to Roma Termini Station and leaves the airport every half-hour, or every 15 minutes during peak hours. It is non-stop service from the airport to Termini. The first train leaves the airport at 6:38 a.m., and the last of the day at 11:38 p.m. Tickets cost €14 each way. MyDayTrip.Com

Heard great things about this service! You need to request their service 48 hours before your trip for them to guarantee you a ride, as they will need to find you a driver (My Day Trip is like an "Uber" here in the States).

Travel Note

Amalfi Coast Landscape

The Amalfi Coast is built into a cliff and thus has been nicknamed "Land of a Thousand Steps." We recommend packing comfortable shoes and changing into heels once you reach your destination. As many of our events will take place on grassy terrain, a block heel would likely be more practical than a stiletto.
