Who would've thought that you would meet your soulmate at a 5k race... Well, we did. In 2012, MacArthur airport was hosting its annual 5k for Veterans. The night before, Anthony and his friend Peter had a sleep over and Anthony was trying to decide if he would join Peter at the 5k. It was a tough decision considering they had ordered Dominos Pizza and stayed up until 2 or 3am... In the morning, Anthony agreed to join Peter at the 5k and they made their way to the airport in the early hours of the morning. Little did he know, this would be one of the most special days, as he would meet his future wife. Upon arrival, Anthony and Peter met Elizabeth and the three of them walked the 5k together. They all exchanged phone numbers and texted frequently following the race. Peter and Anthony offered to tutor Lizzy in Geometry and that would be the next time they hung out together. This is quite comical because if you know Anthony, you know he's not a math wiz by any means. After that day they became very good friends and spent a lot of time together throughout the summer. Anthony's family would invite Lizzy to go 4-wheeling on the beach with them in Anthony's Jeep. Lizzy's family would invite Anthony to go out on their boat "The Red Head". They shared some amazing memories that summer. Then on September 6th 2012, Anthony brought Lizzy to their favorite local spot near Lizzy's house and he asked her to be his girlfriend. She agreed. 12 years later brings us to the day that Anthony and Elizabeth say I Do!
