Charleston, SC

For those of you who are traveling to Charleston (maybe for the first time), we're happy to welcome you in our beautiful city! We recommend staying in Downtown Charleston for the full experience but, if you enjoy a slower pace, there are many wonderful hotels and Airbnbs in Mt. Pleasant and the surrounding islands of Sullivan's and Isle of Palms. Charleston will be quiet in early December but we highly encourage booking travel and accommodations (and restaurant reservations) well in advance! Here are a few of our favorite places:

Vern's

41 Bogard Street, Charleston, SC 29403

Newly Michelin starred and our favorite restaurant in the city. Look for reservations on Resy exactly 1 month before you want go at 12pm on the dot - they go fast!

167 Raw Oyster Bar

193 King Street, Charleston, SC 29401

A Charleston staple - go hungry and thank us later.

SHIKI

334 East Bay Street, Charleston, SC 29401

A hole in the wall for sushi and favorite date spot.

Vintage Lounge

545 King Street, Charleston, SC 29403

We went here on our first date. JB's order: Battle Courage Meredith's order: Last Word

The Dewberry Charleston

334 Meeting Street, Charleston, SC 29403

You can't go wrong here - drinks downstairs (the Living Room) or on the rooftop (the Citrus Club) are always a memorable evening. This is a splurge hotel stay but won't disappoint!

The Nickel Hotel

529 King Street, Charleston, SC 29403

In the middle of the action on King Street, the Nickel is a stunner.

Emeline

181 Church Street, Charleston, SC 29401

Hotel Emeline offers everything - stay in the heart of Charleston in walking distance to the Market, Waterfront park, and amazing restaurants & shopping. Expect to get stopped in traffic by carriage tours!
