Dynamic Duo Gets Hitched!

Teresa & Daniel (known to everyone as Pirate) met years ago when Pirate was the lead singer of the band Tomorrow Has Arrived. Teresa was a big fan and along with her cousin went to most of their shows. They knew who the other was, but never talked. Fast forward about 5 years later. The day after a THA show at JJ Kelley's, Teresa was taking the South Shore train home from her cousin's house. Pirate was taking the train to Chicago to go to the Bears game. It was September 11, 2011. Pirate happened to get on the same train car as Teresa and sat next to her. They ended up talking the entire train ride into the city - travel, family, sports, music, you name it! It was the start of what would become a very close friendship for the next few years. Somewhere along the way, they both realized that they had something truly special. They traveled together, went to movies, concerts and sporting events together. They were each other's rock in unexpected hard times (changing jobs, new apartments, loss of family). They officially became the Dynamic Duo. Their life together has been the best of adventures and they are excited to start the next one!

Pirate planned to propose to Teresa on a trip to New Orleans Jazz Fest in April. He had it all planned out. It was the 6th anniversary of their first trip together. His plans were foiled when the ring wasn't ready in time. But this half of the Dynamic Duo is not one to be discouraged, so it was back to the drawing board! Memorial Day weekend the duo drove down to Clarksville, TN to spend time with Teresa's family. May 25, 2019 started as an uneventful Saturday afternoon. Teresa noticed that Pirate was acting a little strange that day, but didn't think anything of it. Little did she know that he was a nervous wreck getting ready to propose! He discreetly asked her cousin Becca to record the moment. They were surrounded by family - grandparents, mom, cousin, aunts & uncle were all there to witness. There was so much commotion when he dropped to one knee that Teresa started crying and Pirate forgot his speech. It was perfect. The rest of the day was spent in pure joy celebrating their engagement and sharing the news with the world.
