Colombia IS safe, but as with any other country, it’s always best to be aware of your surroundings and use good judgment while exploring. A few safety tips: - Avoid carrying or displaying large amounts of cash or wearing very valuable jewelry while out. - Keep phones, wallets, and other valuables secure; avoid placing them in back pockets or loosely in bags. - Use registered taxis or rideshare apps. Don't accept rides from taxi or uber drivers on the street. - Stick to well-lit areas and travel with others at night when possible. - Drink bottled or filtered water rather than tap water.
