In early September of 2023 their paths crossed on the dating apps in Dallas, Texas (for the first time). They initially bonded over their love of sitting at the Loro Bar, hiking & other outdoor activities, going family style with every restaurant order, subtly matching their outfits, working out & having a general good/goofy time. Dylan knew early on that Elena was his match. Creating a notes app in his phone with her teaching schedule, coffee orders at different coffee shops, their common interests & even a text draft or two from when Elena ghosted him one time. She was 100% what he was looking for. Elena was slower to realize that Dylan was her perfect match. Every time they would hang out they would pick up right where they left off, she knew she loved being around him, but something was still holding her back. It wasn't until her 33rd birthday on December 3rd, 2024 that their paths crossed again. She invited him to her birthday dinner, he showed up (late because of work) & this was when their story really began. After a few months of splitting time between their places, Dylan asked "Why don't you & the cats just move in?" Yes, he really asked that. So they moved in together June of 2025. Dylan once unsure about feline friends...was ready to become a cat daddy (x2). They got engaged on March 7th, 2026 in Big Bend National Park on a sunrise hike at the Santa Elena Canyon overlook. Dylan orchestrated the perfect engagement weekend that included all of Elena's favorite things: good meals, hiking, vintage shopping, epic views, dive bars, people watching, dinner reservations, vibey AirBnB's & cool art. There's nothing Dylan loves more than a deal so he decided he wanted to get engaged & married in the same year. There was only one option when it came to wedding locations: Lake Tahoe. He also didn't want Elena to have enough time to change her mind, so October of this year it is. We cannot wait to celebrate our love with you all.
