Just about four and a half years ago I said yes to a camping trip with my friend (Lexi Kobishop). I was informed there were going to be three boys on this trip along with us, OH GOD. Right? And now we know the rest is history. Our first date was a basketball game of around the world at the YMCA. After that we went to an endless amount of movies, dinners, and sporting events. Along the road to getting here we went all the way to California to visit his best friend, Mike. Dylan told me the only way we’d be able to stay together is if I could handle Mike for an entire week. Yep, it happened. Another story that’s great to tell is that Dylan waited two years to tell me that he loved me. Better yet, he told me this during halftime of a Packer Playoff game. I always say he was “feeling good” when he told me, but he always says he waited so long to tell me this because he wanted to make sure. We got engaged over the summer of 2016. June 17th to be exact. Dylan mentioned going to a Zoo that day for something fun to do. I was a little crabby and tired that day and only said sure. We then went and walked around until we got to the giraffe exhibit. Giraffes are my favorite animal so we stayed by the giraffe for a bit, until I said let’s go. Dylan then looked at me while getting down on one knee and said “Wait, I forgot to ask you something. Will you marry me?” We then celebrated with a dinner and movie. Here we are now trying to plan a wedding!
