Memorial Union
The best place to spend a sunny afternoon!! Grab a beer and sit by the water. There are other snacks and a few ice cream places. A great spot for pictures and watching the sunset
Lake Mendota
You can get great views of Lake Mendota all around Madison but there are also boat rentals if you are looking to get out on the lake. You can rent kayaks, paddle boards, canoes, and even pontoon boats. The Madison Union is a great place to rent from.
Olbrich Botanical Gardens
Olbrich has beautiful indoor and outdoor gardens. There are great bike trails leading to the garden and there are spots to rent bikes all around town. Admission is $6.00 and children 5 and under are free.
Wisconsin State Capitol
The Capitol is in the heart of Madison with a beautiful interior. The farmers market is held every Saturday morning around the Capitol. Be sure to get fresh cheese curds! You know they're fresh if they squeak when you eat them.
Eno Vino Downtown
An upscale tapas and wine bar with a beautiful view of the Capital and yummy espresso martinis. If you are just stopping in for a drink and a snack you could grab a spot at the bar but if you are looking for dinner we recommend making a reservation ahead of time. Dylan worked here, the money was good.
The Great Dane Pub & Brewing Company
Lots of craft beers and pub food with a great beer garden out back. Make sure to try the cheese curds!
Paul's Club
Fun bar on State Street with a tree inside - very cool!!
The Boathouse
A bar and restaurant right on the lake. Try the cheese curds! Dylan used to work here too, it was...stressful
