Question

"What time should I arrive at the ceremony?"

Answer

We would suggest arriving 30-45 minutes before our ceremony. Our ceremony will start promptly at 5:00 pm. Because our venue is about a mile off the road, please plan to arrive early. Please allow time to drive in, get parked, and be ushered to your seat. Our venue staff will block off the road a couple minutes before the ceremony to ensure a perfect, quiet, processional. If you are running late and get blocked off before the ceremony, do not fret! The venue staff will open the road again once the ceremony is over, and you will be able to drive on into the cocktail hour and reception. Again, please plan accordingly!

"Can I bring a date?"

Answer

We have spent a lot of time orchestrating our guest list to best fit our venue. When we sent out our invitations, we were sure to be specific with the names of our invitees. Refer directly to your invitation. If your invite includes a "Plus-One," then please, by all means, bring a date! If your invite is specific to only you, then please refrain from bringing additional guests. Our venue can only accommodate so many, and we know you all will be understanding of this.

"Are kids welcome?"

Answer

Please refer to your invitation! Although we absolutely adore your children, we could only accommodate the kids that are in our wedding party. Make arrangements, let your hair down, and enjoy the party with us!

"Is alcohol being served?"

Answer

Yes! We will have an open bar with our favorite beer, wine, seltzer, and cider. We will also have non-alcoholic drinks available. Please plan ahead for your ride and your travel accommodations. Enjoy the party, and be safe!

"Is there transportation to and from the hotels to the ceremony?"

Answer

For our wedding, we wanted to be away from the hustle and bustle. Union Grove is the perfect location for our quiet venue, but it is about a 20 minute drive away from the nearest city, Statesville. We WILL have transportation to and from our host hotel to the venue, but it will not make other stops. Ubers and Lyfts may be available for a charge, but we would suggest finding a ride to and from our venue and your travel reservations (if not with the host hotel.) There will be alcohol served, so please plan ahead and be safe!

"Is there a dress code?"

Answer

Yes! Our dress code is "Semi-Formal or Dressy Casual." We know you all will look so beautiful!
