In order to keep our wedding intimate, only guests formally invited on your wedding invitation will be accommodated. If you received a plus one, they will appear when you submit your electronic RSVP.
We wish we could invite all our guests’ children to celebrate with us, but we are only able to accommodate a limited number of guests and those invited will be included on your RSVP.
Though we love thoughtful gifts and understand the desire to physically bring a gift with you, we ask that you refrain from bringing physical presents with you on the day of the wedding as we do not have the means to transport physical gifts/items. If you would like to provide us a gift, please consider visiting our registry on our website and contributing to our collection fund for a future adoption, house renovation projects, or our honeymoon. There will also be card boxes at both the ceremony and reception.
We request that our guests dress semi-formally. Examples of semi-formal attire: collared shirts, blouses, button-downs, dressy sweaters, slacks, dress pants, midi or knee-length skirts, dresses, dressy jumpsuits, dress shoes, loafers, ankle boots, heels, or flats. Please leave the cowboy boots and denim jeans at home! Please avoid wearing white/cream, as well.
Please plan to arrive at least 15 minutes prior to the ceremony to allow yourself enough time to find parking and be seated by our ushers. The ceremony will begin at 3:00pm, so plan to arrive at or before 2:45pm. Once the ceremony begins, entrance will not be granted until the ceremony is completed. The cocktail hour/reception will start at 5:00pm at the Bloomington Event Center (BEC), which is about 7 miles south of the church in Bloomington. Please note that traffic in the MSP area on a Friday afternoon tends to be a bit busy and plan accordingly. Feel free to use this time to check into your hotel room and/or try one of the bars located on our activities/restaurants website page. The wedding party will plan to make their grand entrance around 5:50pm.
St. Joan of Arc has a parking lot as well as lots of street parking around the vicinity of the church. The Bloomington Event Center (BEC) has multiple parking lots immediately surrounding the building as well as across American Boulevard just south of the building. Enter through the "Grand Hall" entrance on the south side of the building upon arriving for the cocktail hour/reception.
Please notify Hannah or Tate ASAP if you have specific dietary restrictions. We would love to be able to accommodate ALL of our guests, including you!
There is a cash bar at the reception venue, the Bloomington Event Center. There is also an ATM located in the reception space for your convenience, as well.
Yes, we reserved a block of rooms at a local hotel on both Friday night (9/25/26) & Saturday night (9/26/26) so guests can extend their stay if they'd like with our room block. See the "Hotel Accommodations" page on our website for further details.
Unfortunately, there will only be one small 12-person shuttle ride that will be leaving our preferred hotel at about 4:50pm traveling to the reception venue. There will be a returning shuttle back to the hotel at 10:45pm. There are also ample ride share options in this area, including Uber, Lyft, and Metro transit. Guests are permitted to leave their vehicles overnight at our reception venue, the Bloomington Event Center (BEC), IF they are picked up promptly on Saturday morning. We encourage our guests to drive responsibly or utilize an alternative transportation option. Our dance/reception will end at 11:00pm. Guests are welcome to stay until 11:00pm, but do not have to if they desire to retire early.
If we do not receive your RSVP by August 15th, 2026, it will automatically be marked as "Not Attending," unfortunately. We will miss celebrating with you, but it is imperative we provide our vendors with an accurate final guest count within the time frame they've given us. Thank you for understanding!
