Man of Honor
While in college at Wittenberg, Frannie and Ben met through campus ministries and later were roommates. They bond over theology, politics, and wine. One of Frannie's favorite memories with Ben is during their senior year at Witt when she came home to find Ben huddled in the kitchen corner with a blanket over his head and a broom in his hand trying to get a bat out of their house. Ben currently works as the Administrative Manager at Faith in Public Life and serves as Council President for Luther Place Church in Washington D.C.
Maid of Honor
Frannie met Maria during their study abroad to Lutherstadt Wittenberg, Germany in the spring of 2015. They became close friends while abroad and traveled all over Germany together. One of Frannie's favorite memories with Maria is sipping hot chocolate at Bittersuess Cafe in Germany and plotting to stay in Europe forever. After graduation she served as a Fulbright Scholar in Malaysia. Maria just earned her Master’s in Writing, Rhetoric, and Social Change at Colorado State University.
Bridesmaid
Lena is Frannie’s oldest sister. They grew up video gaming on playstation one and spent many hours trying to win Crash Bandicoot and Spyro. One of Frannie's favorite memories with Lena is going to the Mumford and Sons concert and re-watching Lord of the Rings countless times. Lena works at Job and Family Services of Knox County.
Bridesmaid
Frannie's little sister...the one who made her the middle child and a big sister. One of Frannie's favorite memories with Ali is when they dressed up like hobos and went camping for Halloween. Ali is a junior at Ohio Wesleyan University where she is majoring in Film Studies. She recently had a story published in the OWU literary magazine where her story was chosen from over 200 submissions!
Bridesmaid
Emily is Frannie's cousin. They have always been more like sisters and have gotten into plenty of trouble together. Frannie once dared Emily to jump in a strangers pool for $20 (which Frannie definitely didn’t have) and Emily went in clothes and all. Of course they got caught and were in deep trouble. Rumor has it Frannie still owes Emily $10. Emily works as the Farm Program Supervisor at Primrose Farms in St. Charles, Illinois.
Bridesmaid
Maija and Frannie met their freshman year at Wittenberg through campus ministries. They've remained close through the years and Frannie has often leaned on Maija for spiritual, relationship, and life advice. Frannie's favorite memory with Maija was when she went to visit her in Washington D.C. in 2016. Maija recently graduated with her M.Div. from The Lutheran School of Theology in Chicago. She works at Oregon Health Sciences University, Doernbecher Children’s Hospital as a Chaplain in Pediatric Palliative Care.
Best Man
Best friend of the groom and met in grade school when Casey started at St. Paul in 6th Grade. They ran Cross Country together in High School and still stayed close through College and after graduation where they still will nerd out over the latest video games and keep up on Ohio State Football. He currently works for Cardinal Health in Columbus.
Best Man
Joey and Steve have been friends since pre-K and roommates sine 2015. They went to Grade School, High School, and College together and have not gotten sick of each other yet. Steve's first choice for Joey and Frannie's wedding food would be to order Doordash and pretzels or a big bag of popcorn like when they go to the movie theater to see any of the latest super hero movies that came out. Steve currently is a Nursing Educator at Nationwide Children's Hospital in Columbus.
Groomsman
Tom or T, as his family calls him, is Joey's younger and only brother. They used to horse around and play games when they were younger whether it was outside where Joey would tie T to a tree or they were inside playing video games. T currently resides in St. Louis where he is a doctor at the VA hospital there.
Groomsman
Joey met Eduardo in High School and they both went to Ohio State for Engineering where they spent many a long night studying for finals or working on projects. Eduardo will gladly be your dancing partner at the wedding whether you know how to dance or not. He is currently on a year long sabbatical from working at Anheuser Busch brewery in Columbus where he is traveling across the US in a homemade RV.
Groomsman
Joey met Tony in High School where they ran Cross Country together. Joey, Casey, and Tony were pretty much inseparable during High School since they pretty much did all the same things together like Cross Country, AP Classes, and even the school play where they played a rowdy group of Russians in Fiddler on the Roof. Tony works for the Ohio Department of Natural Resources in Columbus and just recently had his first child.
Groomsman
Collin and Joey have know each other since Pre-K and like Steve went to Grade School, High School, and College with Joey. Joey and Collin ran Cross Country together and were captains of the team together. They were roommates in College for three years as well and they still continue to hang out to do late night video game sessions of Age of Empires and other games. Collin is currently a Firefighter with the Columbus Fire Department.
Mother of the Bride
Her whole life, Frannie has been called a spitting image of her mom, which is the highest compliment she could receive. Frannie's favorite memory with her mom is watching Law and Order: SVU and Frasier growing up and sipping coffee in the mornings on the back porch. Amy is a Registered Nurse at Kenyon College in Gambier, Ohio where she has served students for over 20 years.
Father of the Bride
One of Frannie's favorite parts of growing up has been forming a friendship with her dad. Frannie gets her love of the Buckeyes and cooking skills from her Dad. Her favorite memory with him is watching OSU football and sitting out by the campfire at their old house. Avery is a retired Ohio State Highway Patrolman and currently works as an Investigator in the Office of the Public Defender for Knox County.
Mother of the Groom
Joey has always been a mama's boy and still is to this day. She has a flare for the theatrical and (spoiler alert) will probably have something choreographed for the Mother Son dance. But she is what started Joey's passion for engineering and understanding how things work by playing with him and his Lego's and buying him every set known to man. She also started that nerdy side of him when she passed down her love of Star Wars to him by watching all the Original Trilogy movies with him when he was barely old enough to remember them. And you can't talk about Lindy without mentioning the Italian side of the family, where after dinner you cannot leave her house without three bags of leftovers and few other things she picked up for you. All this helped shape Joey into the man he is today.
Father of the Groom
Joey will always remember Jim as that Dad who could build anything and would always be there for him. Whether it was talking about the best way to build a pinewood derby car, to how to build some contraption, or spotting him while we were on the roof cleaning gutters and Lindy was shouting "Watch my baby" below, he always knew what to do and was wanting to pass on that knowledge. Like the Lego's with his mom, the hands on experience of working on all these things with him are what made Joey want to be an Engineer and are what made him into who he is today.
Officiant
Pastor Rachel, better known as PR, has known Frannie since her first week at Wittenberg. She is the reason that Frannie became heavily involved in Campus Ministries and helped her explore theology. PR even baptized Frannie her freshman year at Witt! Frannie considers PR her "other mom" and someone she knows she can always count on. Joey and Frannie can't imagine being married by anyone else!
