Emily and Shane met as most couples do, on the job site of a high end construction project in 2017. Emily was working for an architect and was making a site visit to the home and Shane was on site working on the posts of a timber frame structure in the living room. Emily recalls seeing a strong, quiet and attractive man she had never seen there before. Shane swears that day he knew he was seeing his future wife for the first time. By 2022, after years of long hours, countless deadlines, hours of meetings working together as a site supervisor and project manager, Emily and Shane had built a strong foundation of trust, empathy, vulnerability and overall friendship. What started as a polite and professional relationship had slowly blossomed into a special bond between the two of them. Emily always says they literally built a strong foundation (or two or three) before starting a romantic relationship. 3 1/2 years, 2 kids, 4 pets, 2 houses and a whole lot of "balls in the air" later, Shane and Emily are tying the knot! They have two active daughters, a house project that is about to be under construction, and a big fat Bar Harbor wedding to throw! They cannot wait to share this special day of unity with their closest loved ones and celebrate finding one another. Here's to "Happily Ever Wagner"!
