FAQs

The FAQs will be updated regularly throughout the planning process, so be sure to check back from time to time. If you have any questions that aren't covered here, please don't hesitate to contact the bride and groom at 517-936-9280.
Question

Attire

Answer

Garden Attire: Think sundresses, floral prints, light-colored suits, and fun hats or fascinators – just keep your clothes on, please! We’ve got a no-white rule in place, so let the bride have her moment to shine. Whether you're going for boho chic or garden party glam, we can't wait to see your gorgeous outfits and celebrate together in style! Family, you're invited to join in on the fun by incorporating the wedding colors into your attire! Feel free to contact the bride or groom for all the colorful details. Note: It’s July in Michigan, so be ready for that summer heat! Average temperatures range from 80-95° with medium to high humidity—so stay cool, stay stylish, and maybe bring a fan (or two)!

Question

When should I RSVP by?

Answer

We’re so excited to celebrate with you! Please be sure to RSVP by June 1st, 2025. We’re finalizing details and want to make sure there’s a spot (and plenty of food and drinks) for everyone. We’d love to celebrate with you, so don’t miss out!

Question

Parking

Answer

Yes, we’ve got a team of parking pros ready to guide you to your spot! Just a quick heads-up: smoking and drinking aren’t allowed in the parking lot, but don’t worry – we’ve got designated areas for both, so you can take a break and enjoy in style!

Question

What time should I arrive at the ceremony?

Answer

Please hold off on arriving more than 20 minutes before the ceremony! If you do, kindly stay in your vehicles so the wedding party can put the finishing touches on their big day and enjoy those last few special moments. And remember, if the groom can't see the bride before the ceremony… neither can you! ;)

Question

Ceremony Etiquette

Answer

We’re going unplugged for the ceremony! Please silence your phones and leave the pictures to the professionals during the big moment. But don’t worry – feel free to snap all the pics you want before and after! If you’d like to share on social, use #HuntPartyof2 so the bride and groom can relive the memories later!

Question

What will happen if it rains?

Answer

If it rains, no worries – we’ve got a backup plan! The ceremony will move indoors, where we’ll still have all the love and celebration you can handle. We’ll make sure everything runs smoothly, rain or shine, so you can relax and enjoy the day!

Question

Are kids welcome?

Answer

Yes, kids are absolutely welcome until 9:00 PM! After that, we kindly ask that guests with little ones under 15 make arrangements for their departure so we can keep the party rolling! Thanks for understanding!

Question

Can I bring a date/plus one?

Answer

Yes, we've got you covered! If your invite says "and guest" on the address label, we’ve already reserved a spot for your plus one. If it’s not there but you’re planning to bring someone along, just give the bride or groom a quick heads-up! We want to make sure everyone’s comfy and ready to have a blast!

Question

Do I have to drive from the ceremony to the reception?

Answer

No worries, everything’s at one place! All events will be held at the beautiful Twin Gables Event Center, located at 26380 M-86, Sturgis, MI 49091. The venue is super easy to get around on foot, so you won’t need to worry about transportation between events!

Question

Will there be a cocktail hour?

Answer

Cheers to the start of the celebration! Join us for a fun and relaxed cocktail hour, where you'll find a selection of drinks and delicious hors d'oeuvres to kick things off. It’s the perfect time to mingle, toast, and get ready for the big festivities ahead! We can’t wait to see you there!

Question

Bar Information

Answer

The Bride and Groom have you covered for beer and wine, so feel free to sip and enjoy! There will be mixed drinks and mocktails available as a cash bar with drinks ranging from $4-$7. Just a heads-up: only guests 21+ will be served, so be sure to have your ID handy if the bartenders ask. Cheers to a great time!

Question

Can I bring my own alcohol?

Answer

No BYOB, please! Due to the venue’s licensing, all alcohol must be served by the bartenders. Just a heads-up: all drinks must stay in the reception area (main archway, fire pit, and building). We’ll have signs to help guide you, so you can focus on having a blast!

Question

Marijuana is legal in Michigan, can I smoke at the reception?

Answer

No smoking, please! While marijuana is legal in Michigan, it’s not permitted on the property. So we kindly ask that you refrain from using flower or vaporizers during the ceremony and reception. Let’s keep the focus on celebrating and having a great time together!

Question

Can I vape at the dinner and reception?

Answer

Vape with a view! Please use the designated smoking area near the pond if you need to vape. No vaping inside the building or during the ceremony, though – we want everyone’s attention on the big moments! Thanks for helping keep things fun and comfy for all!

Question

Where can I smoke tobacco and nicotine?

Answer

The smoke pit is located by the pond, complete with a bench and an archway for a little extra charm! We’ll have a bucket handy for cigarette butts, so please use it. Just a friendly reminder: marijuana use is prohibited, and all alcohol must stay within the reception area (main archway, fire pit, and building). Let's keep things fun and classy!

Question

Are there any special accommodations for wedding guests with disabilities?

Answer

Yes, we want all our guests to have a comfortable and enjoyable experience! The venue is fully accessible, and we’ve arranged for special accommodations where needed. If you or someone in your party requires any assistance or has specific needs, please let us know ahead of time, and we’ll make sure everything is taken care of. We’re here to help!

Question

May I bring my firearm?

Answer

No firearms allowed, whether open or concealed, on the premises. Let’s keep the focus on fun, love, and celebration – no need for any extra “bang” at the party! Thanks for understanding!

Question

Will there be dinner?

Answer

Get ready to dig in – dinner is served! We’ll be offering a delicious buffet featuring mouthwatering smoked BBQ, with all the fixings to satisfy every craving. From tender meats to tasty sides, it’s going to be a feast you won’t want to miss!

Question

I have a food allergy, can I make a special request?

Answer

Please, yes! If you have a food allergy, let the bride and groom know ASAP so we can make sure you’re taken care of. If you wait until the day of the ceremony or reception, accommodations may be a bit limited, so it’s best to give us a heads-up early. We want everyone to enjoy the feast worry-free!

Question

How long will the reception last?

Answer

The reception will wrap up around 10PM, so be ready to dance, eat, and celebrate until then! We can’t wait to keep the fun going with all of you until the final song!

Question

Is there transportation to and from the hotels to the venue?

Answer

Forgot your dancing shoes? Don’t worry, we’ve got you covered! A shuttle will be running every hour from the reception back to the Sturgis hotels, so you can grab your shoes and get back to the party in no time! Shuttle service will start one hour before the ceremony for anyone coming from the hotel – stay tuned for all the details coming your way soon!

Question

Can I drive to the venue and still take the shuttle back to the hotel if I end up having a little too much fun?

Answer

Absolutely! Feel free to drive to the venue, and if the party gets a little too lit, you can still hop on the shuttle to get back to the hotel. We've got you covered both ways! Just a friendly reminder – all cars must be removed from the parking lot by 9AM Sunday! We want to make sure the space is clear for any upcoming events, so please plan accordingly. Thanks for helping us keep things running smoothly, and enjoy the rest of the celebration!

Question

Late RSVP'ing

Answer

Oops, Running a Little Late? If you're RSVP'ing after the deadline, no worries – we totally understand! Please let us know as soon as possible so we can do our best to accommodate you. We’re excited to celebrate with you and want to make sure we have everything ready for the big day! Thanks so much!

Question

I have a question that is not already covered, who can I ask?

Answer

For any questions, feel free to reach out to the bride and groom directly by call or text at 517-936-9280 or email at djhuntwedding@gmail.com. On the big day (July 19th, 2025), the bride and groom will be busy soaking in the moment, so please try to get any questions in before then.
