Our wedding is a black tie event. Please dress accordingly. Men in tuxedos and women is long gowns.
There are two airports in Dallas: Dallas Love Field (DAL) and Dallas Fort Worth International Airport (DFW). Love Field is much closer to downtown and easier to navigate. Southwest Airlines is the major operator out of this airport and it is their world headquarters, so there are many routes which operate very frequency. DFW is further away from downtown Dallas and a FAR busier airport (it was just names the 2nd busiest in the US). American Airlines is the major operator out of DFW as it is their world headquarters. Both airports offer lots of options to fly anywhere in the country and world (many locations of are non-stop).
We would love to have you bring your children. In fact, many of our guests have small children and we cannot wait to have our nieces be our flower girls.. We do request that our wedding, reception, and after party be child-free. We are looking into child care during events on Saturday and will have more information as the event approaches
We have a block of rooms at the Fairmont hotel in Downtown Dallas for $149/night. This is a 4-star hotel and they have been more than accomodating.
There are ample methods of transportation from both airports to downtown Dallas. We recommend the use of ride share or taxis over the local transit given it takes much longer than a car ride. It is about 15-20 minutes to downtown from DAL and 30-40 from DFW. If you'd like to rent a car, please feel free to do so. Once you make your way downtown, many of the sites are walkable.
We will be providing shuttles from the Fairmont to First Presbyterian Church and back. The church is only a mile from the hotel, so it will be too far to walk, but a very quick shuttle ride.
Yes, there is parking at all wedding venues. For the Ceremony, there is a large parking garage connected to First Presbyterian Church. For the Reception, the Fairmont hotel provides valet parking and there is a parking garage right across the street that has ample capacity.
