FAQs

The Wedding Website of Sara Caldwell and Dustin Thomas
Welcome to our FAQ page! We’ve put together answers to the most common questions to make things easy. Thanks so much for your understanding as we work out all the details—we’re so excited to celebrate with you!
Question

What should I wear?

Answer

Dress to celebrate! Think polished but comfortable—like something you’d wear to a nice church service or a wedding of your own. In other words, no slouchy fits, but no tux required. NOTE: The wedding and reception are outdoors, be sure you wear appropriate shoes!

Question

What time should I arrive?

Answer

We encourage guests to arrive a little early! The ceremony will begin promptly at 6:00 PM, so please give yourself plenty of time to park, sign the guestbook, and find your seat before we start.

Question

Is there parking available?

Answer

Yes! The address on your invitation will take you straight to the parking area, and it will be clearly marked. For guests traveling from the Speedwell/Rural Retreat area, please note that GPS may send you the long way. To avoid winding mountain curves, do not turn onto Cripple Creek Road. Instead, turn onto Stroupe Mountain Road directly off Highway 21—it’s the smoothest route to us!

Question

Can I bring a plus one?

Answer

We kindly ask that you only bring a guest if a plus-one has been specifically noted on your invitation. Due to the size of our wedding, we’re unable to extend additional invitations beyond those listed.

Question

Can I bring my kids?

Answer

We love your little ones! However, due to space and planning, children are welcome only for immediate family and out-of-town guests (unless otherwise noted on your invitation). We hope this can be a special “parents’ night out” to relax, celebrate, and enjoy the evening with us!

Question

Where are you registered?

Answer

We are registered at Amazon (link is under the "registry" tab)! It will give you the option to have gifts sent directly to you or to our home!

Question

Can I take pictures during the ceremony?

Answer

Yes! We’d love for you to capture the day from your perspective. However, we ask that everyone be fully present during the ceremony—so please don’t get carried away. You’re welcome to take photos on your phones, but kindly avoid stepping into the aisle or using personal cameras. We have an amazing photographer capturing every moment, and we ask that if you do take photos, you do so respectfully and without getting in her way. We kindly ask that you wait to post any photos online until we’ve shared ours first.
