THE BEST Italian food in the city - and the owner, Cathy, is the sweetest woman you’ll ever meet! Dustin loves the blackened chicken Alfredo, Roxanne loves the chicken carbonara (no mushrooms!)
This is a collection of restaurants with a wide variety of options. The Fried Taco is a personal favorite, but if that doesn't strike your fancy you could try a Cheesesteak. And if you're looking for a quick pick me up then there is also a coffee spot, or to finish out the evening there is a bar with all the alcoholic options you could want.
Shelves upon shelves of books piled high to the ceiling. Rolling ladders. A working fireplace. A delicious coffee shop. You can’t go wrong.
Our FAVORITE local place to grab a new game, and support local!
Live local music with a dive bar kind of feel. This is for those with a more adventurous taste in music as it ranges from punk to indie with enough humor that it got us good the first time. I was looking for a jazz or blues bar, which it lists itself as, but is very clearly more geared towards aforementioned music.
Voted one of the top 100 most romantic restaurants in America, this restaurant is PERFECT for a lovely date night. Roxanne HATES mushrooms but swears by the mushroom soup - don’t skip it!
Cattlemen’s is just one of those places you HAVE to stop at when you visit OKC. Skip over to the Wheeler Park Ferris Wheel or Scissortail Park while you’re there!
Small, but mighty - this bookstore is located in the Paseo Arts district, which is close to some of our suggested restaurants. The owners are so kind, the selection is interesting, and there’s plenty of fun items to catch your eye.
This is one of the best record stores I've been to in all of my travels. Want to pick up an album by some obscure act? There is a good chance you'll stumble into something you've not heard while finding what you're looking for.
The first pizza place Roxanne took Dustin too - the burrata is HEAVENLY and all the pizzas are fantastic. Don’t miss the salted caramel chocolate chip cookie. YUM.
It’s some of the pricier ice cream you’ll ever eat - but worthhhhh it! Roxanne loves the key lime pie when it’s in flavor, and Roxanne & Dustin share the Oklahoma Standard OFTEN!
On the first Friday of every month, the Paseo Arts District hosts an art walk. Dustin and Roxanne frequent Picasso Cafe each time they go! Roxanne LOVES the blackened shrimp + risotto, while Dustin gets his standard chicken sandwich (meat and cheese only!)
