Wedding celebration 5/30/21 indefinitely postponed

We have become experts at postponing events (jk but have to make light of something...). With the ongoing nature of COVID 19 and desire for all our loved ones to be able to safely travel to attend our celebration, we decided to cancel our event. We hope to have a big, safe celebration with you all in the future- so keep it on your radar- I know we will all need a party soon. With much love, Mal & Dustin

How We Met

4.21.2017

How Dustin used Facebook to find his future wife..... I was having a girls night out in Charlottesville- and Dustin stumbled upon a photo that his cousin Jenny posted of us girls (after a very sweaty night at our downtown concert series). He proceeded to tell her to say "Hey" to me for him. I thought "Dustin" was actually someone I knew from softball so I continued talking through Jenny asking how he was- yet then she showed me his photo and he was not someone I had met before but someone I HAD to meet! Dustin and I chatted quite a bit and it seemed our love for our dogs outweighed our college football team differences and a week later he came to Charlottesville for our first date- which ended up being the best last first date I could ever ask for!

Our Engagament

5.30.2019

Viking wedding bells..... We had been dating for about 2 years and I knew for quite some time that I wanted to propose to Mallory. I wanted it to be something that was unique and also special to the both of us. We had a trip planned to Iceland and I knew that would be the perfect time to do it. Mal and her Dad took a trip there a year and half before and she always talked about how much she loved it and couldn't wait to go back. We were in Iceland and I didn't really have a plan of when or how I was going to propose. I figured I would wait until we were visiting a waterfall or some other picturesque location to pop the question. It was the second day of the trip and I was so nervous that I just wanted to do it. We were driving to this scenic beach location and twenty minutes before we got there Mal said that it was her favorite place in Iceland. I immediately decided that was where I was going to propose. I told Mal's friends that it was about to happen and to get the cameras ready. We walked down to the beach and I got down on one knee. Mallory gave me a crazy look and cursed at me, but eventually said yes (I think). It was perfect.

For all the days along the way
