Question

Wedding Guest Attire

Answer

Formal or Black-Tie Optional: Tuxes and Gowns are welcome, and so are Suits and Cocktail Dresses. Note: There is gravel and uneven stone at the San Sophia Gondola Station and Palmyra Lookout (Ceremony Site). Ladies, we recommend you keep this in mind when packing heels (you can always bring them with you or wear them at the reception)! Low heels will be fine.

Question

CHILDCARE- Adults Only Ceremony

Answer

Due to limited venue capacity, we kindly request Adults Only to attend our Ceremony. To help accommodate childcare needs, we are hiring and paying for a local and reputable babysitting service, Telluride Sitters, for the evening. If you are traveling with children, please note this in the RSVP so we can get a headcount and provide further details. Question

Altitude Awareness

Answer

Altitude Sickness can affect people visiting Colorado. Both Mountain Village and Town of Telluride is ~8,750 ft, with our wedding venue at around ~10,500ft above sea level. Some people may experience symptoms which include headache, nausea, fatigue and shortness of breath. We recommend talking to your primary care physician before traveling about a prescription called Diamox (Acetazolamide) which can help quicken acclimatization to altitude and treat symptoms. Preventative Measures: 💦 STAY HYDRATED! This one is key. Plan to drink 2-3x as much water as you would at sea level. ☀️ PACK SUNSCREEN + CHAPSTICK 🍸 ONE DRINK = TWO OR THREE Be aware of your alcohol intake! One drink at altitude will feel more like two or three. BOOST+ OXYGEN You can pick up Boost+ Canned Oxygen at most gas stations and convenience stores in Colorado. This will help ease any effects from the altitude.

Question

Weather

Answer

At an altitude of 8,700 to 10,500 ft, Telluride will be 10-20 degrees colder than lower elevation climates. We expect the temperature to be around 55-65 degrees Fahrenheit with slightly cooler temps in the evening. Bring layers and a warmer jacket for the evenings!
