People often ask us how we met, as I like to say, we met through our mutual friend, the internet. But we also like to give credit where credit is due, to The Lord. After being matched by God on eHarmony and 3 long months of exchanging questions and answers, and likes and dislikes, emoji filled texts and long phone calls, Dustin asked me out on our first date! We met for Italian food on a hot and sunny Saturday afternoon in San Antonio, a week after my 29th birthday. He asked me what I thought he should order and I told him to get the veal piccata because he could get salmon anywhere, and apparently that made a big impression. Also, I may have somehow gotten s’mores all over my face during dessert in true Kimberly fashion. I guess Dustin likes sweet and sassy things. After a whirlwind year of trips back and forth from Houston to San Antonio and vice versa, we found ourselves traveling down the West Coast on Highway 1 in the largest SUV known to man. We shared a wonderful trip together that I won’t soon forget. Our adventure included nearly getting stuck in a parking garage with our giant SUV; wondering around Seattle on waiters’ recommendations; driving along the cliff hanging Oregon Coast in the dark and rainy fog; enjoying breathtaking views of waterfalls, vineyards, coastlines and Redwoods; pretending to be rich and famous rolling around Beverly Hills in a Rolls Royce. We shared so much love and laughter together that Dustin decided it was time to make our adventure last forever. One week later he proposed with an engagement ring that reminded him of an eternities worth of hugs. We have had a lot of fun planning for our late spring wedding and we are both excited to share the day with you and the beginning of our lives together as husband and wife. Thank you for being a part of our love story.
