FAQs

Question

CAMPERS!

Answer

Camping is available from Thursday-Sunday (June 19-22). We will be following up with a map of the property with location details, including campsites, port-a-johns, quiet zones and the like. Make sure to bring: - Tent, sleeping gear, rain flies and footprints. It can still get pretty chilly at night in June up in the mountains, so be sure to bring some warm clothes, bedding and sturdy shoes. Maybe some earplugs wouldn't hurt. Oh! And a swimsuit for some crick-swimmin'! - Food/booze for your stay, barring Saturday evening and Sunday brunch. Food at ACME Acres is a pretty communal affair, so feel free to bring enough to share, and there will be plenty shared with you! The kitchens will be open for your use for your entire stay, with room in the fridge for your food, access to grills/flat fryers/stoves/ovens in two full kitchens. Someone is always in the kitchen cooking something for everyone (might even be you!), so if you want anything to not be snatched for a communal meal, make sure to label it! Please make known any food allergies or restrictions when cooking/being cooked for. Remember, please pack-in/pack-out everything you bring with you. - Filtered drinking water is available in the main barn kitchen sink, but feel free to bring your own water for camping convenience. - A cooler for tent-area drinks and snackies if that's your pleasure. - Shower stuff and towels. An indoor and a private outdoor shower will be available to campers. Bring your own gear, and please be respectful of the space and of time spent luxuriating. - Costumes! Costume changes are encouraged, and there will be a stocked costume room for anyone interested! Please bring back any costume gear you borrow when you leave. - Trash - There will be a big dump run after the festivities, just put any trash you want to leave with us in the bins as directed. We crush cans up here.

Question

NON-CAMPERS!

Answer

- Read through the "Campers!" FAQ to see how life at ACME Acres goes down. Feel free to join the fun at the barn throughout your stay. We will have (mostly kid-friendly) activities, games, crafts, walking trails and a creek for creek swimming for anyone hanging around. If you want to venture around the area (it is absolutely stunning), we know some great local spots you won't want to miss. Give us a shout if you're looking for ideas, and check out the "Things To Do" page of this website! - There are a few hotels and inns nearby, as well as AirBnB/VRBO properties available to rent. We suggest you book early, as the area is a popular summer vacation destination. Feel free to contact us for suggestions, and check out the "Travel" page of this website. - Make sure to make arrangements for getting back to your home base safely; there are no Ubers, Lyfts or taxi services available out here. If the inevitable occurs, there will be room for you to crash but know it might be communal quarters upstairs in the big barn. First come, first serve up there!

Question

Cell Service PSA

Answer

There is none. There will be some WiFi bandwidth available if needed, and there will be a sign posting the singular area on the property with cell service, also if needed. Let us know if you desperately need to get in contact with someone while on-site, we can help!
