We met our freshmen year of high school in band at Nazareth Academy. Our sophomore year, we had mutual friends and began hanging around each other more often. The first time I went to Aidan's house to hang out with friends, I thought everyone was staying for dinner, but turns out it was just Aidan, Leah, and I and I ended up flinging corn all over myself at the dinner table. In February 2014, I asked Aidan to the Turnabout dance and a month later Aidan asked me to be his girlfriend.

We decided to take a last-minute weekend trip to Grafton, Illinois to end the summer. On August 5, we went zip-lining and had dinner at Aerie's Resort and Winery. All throughout dinner, Aidan was restless, zoning out, and could not stop laughing. Shortly after dinner, we made our way to Pere Marquette State Park where Aidan drove us to Eagle Roost Overlook at sunset. As we looked at the sunset over the river, we posed for a picture and Aidan got down on one knee and proposed! We're so excited to celebrate this next chapter in our lives with you.
