Our story began on the very first day at McMaster University. Claudia first noticed Austin at a floor meeting - he was loud, lively, and completely unmissable. Her first thought? “Who does this guy think he is?”. Later that night, when she and her roommate were heading back to their residence, they saw Austin and his roommates yelling down the hall to hold the elevator. Naturally, the girls tried to shut the doors as fast as possible - but Austin managed to wedge his hand in at the last second. That chance encounter turned into a friendship, and a year later, something more. From late-night study sessions to countless shared memories, they have been inseparable ever since. A special part of their bond has always been their shared Italian heritage. Both Claudia and Austin grew up in loud, loving families where Sundays meant homemade pasta, holidays were filled with music and laughter, and no one ever left Nonnie/Nanna/Nonna’s house hungry. Choosing to marry in Italy is more than just a romantic backdrop - it’s a tribute to where they come from and all the traditions that brought them here.
