For the Welcome Party on Friday we invite you to wear elevated casual (Khakis or dark pants, with a collared shirt and dresses, skirts, or dress pants with a blouse) For the Ceremony and Reception, please wear formal attire (long dresses/dark suits with ties). The island can get chilly in the evening, so always have a light jacket or shawl on hand!
There are two ways to get to the island; ferry or plane. For ferry information, please visit the “Getting to Martha’s Vineyard” tab. For flight information please visit https://mvyairport.com/airlines/ If you would prefer to fly into Boston there is a Peter Pan bus that picks you up at Logan Airport (the bus also stops at South Station for those of you wanting to take a train to Boston) and brings you right to the Steamship Authority Ferry in Woods Hole. To book a Peter Pan bus please go to their website https://peterpanbus.com/ Please note, that both ferries and flights can be canceled if the weather is bad. Please keep this in mind when booking travel.
There are six towns on the Island and they are all unique! We highly recommend staying in Edgartown to be close to wedding festivities. There are a plethora of hotel recommendations under the Accommodations tab. If a group would like to rent a home instead of staying in a hotel, please contact Sandpiper Realty or Airbnb. To note, some homes require a one week stay. Since our wedding is taking place in the off-season, it is worth an ask if you can rent the home for just the weekend.
All events will be taking place in Edgartown and are accessible via walking or provided transportation. The island is very accessible by bike and, if you are staying in Edgartown you can walk to beaches, shops, restaurants, and the wedding! If you are not bringing a car and would like to explore other towns we recommend using Stagecoach cab company or the islands expansive public transportation system!
The only provided transportation during the weekend will be to and from the Denson home for the Welcome Party on Friday evening. Guests will be responsible for coordinating transportation to and from the ferry or airport. We suggest using Stagecoach taxi and calling them ahead of time to schedule a pick up or drop off. As a reminder, if you are staying in Downtown Edgartown, all wedding events are accessible via walking. Please note, Ubers are few and far between on island.
Only those names written on the invitations are welcome to wedding festivities.
