Hole in the wall Mexican that is a must stop for us every trip. Barbecue chicken salad. Don't question it, just order it. Honorable mention: steak burrito. Also A+ margaritas.
A Hilton Head staple. Sit in the bar and experience choosing your frozen drink from a wall of options, or order a gallon to go and take it to the beach. The patio is fun and although it’s just bar food, it’s still delicious.
Think of a Chipotle, but with local ingredients + fresh squeezed margaritas (our favorite on the island). Also serves breakfast and coffee.
Great sub shop located in Coligny Plaza. We love to grab (and split) these massive sammies and take them to the beach.
The name is accurate. Hole in the wall, but some of the best seafood on the island. There’s usually a line but it moves quickly. Very little ambiance, but takeout is easy.
A favorite breakfast spot. Also has a dog friendly menu for the patio if you’d like to bring your fur bestie.
A great breakfast or lunch spot. Located right in front of the Courtyard Marriott.
Cajun in South Carolina may sound odd, but this place is great. Some of our favorites are shrimp po boy, dirty rice, and jambalaya.
A favorite date spot. French inspired with delicious seafood. You’ll want to make a reservation here.
Owned by the family of Emily’s college friend, this place has great food and decor.
A fun family spot with Kentucky ties that often has live music.
Delicious beach/poolside frozen drinks made by Jim himself. The menu is massive but you can’t go wrong with any choice.
Rooftop spot with our favorite sunset view. With so many great dinner options, we recommend happy hour here before dinner elsewhere. Must be 21 or older.
Brand new two story restaurant at the base of the Harbor Town lighthouse. Has indoor and outdoor seating with a wrap around deck with some of the best views on the island.
The island is very bike friendly with tons of bike paths to explore. This company is Luke approved. It offers free delivery and pick up.
Walk around the harbor and look at the boats, or take your kids to live music under the old oak tree. The iconic (if you grew up going to Hilton Head) Greg Russell plays most week nights at 7:30. When your kid gets called on to participate and refuses (Elizabeth Ann) the memories will last a lifetime.
Although the food is not our favorite, it’s still a memorable Hilton Head stop with a nice view. Your kids will have fun talking to the parrots and adding to their T-shirt collection.
Easy beach access with nearby parking for those not staying on the beach. Has restrooms, showers, swings, and chair & umbrella rentals.
