Scott's Addition is a popular neighborhood within Richmond boasting a wide range of breweries/bars and food options. For drinks, we recommend Vasen (Sammy likes their sours and Brennan likes their Bivvy), Starr Hill (great rooftop), Buskeys (local cidery), etc. Overall, you cannot go wrong with really any of the bars in this area. For food, we love Cochiloco for a more casual and authentic Mexican cuisine and En Su Boca. For something more upscale, there is Lost Letter or The Brooklyn.
This is one of Richmond's most spirited neighborhoods with a wide range of shops and food. When going, we tend to set our directions to "For the Love of Chocolate" and then walk the block from there! Some great eats near Carytown include Can Can Brassiere, Greek on Cary, Burger Bach, Mom's Siam and Fire & Hops Pizza Co.
For those in search of a morning coffee (or afternoon pick-me-up), we've shared a few of our favorite local coffee shops by neighborhood. We hope you enjoy them as much as we do! Carytown - Sugar & Twine Churchill - Riverbend Roastery Downtown - Sefton Coffee Company Museum District - Blanchard's Coffee Scott's Addition - Grit Coffee Shockoe Bottom - Ironclad Short Pump - Foxtail Coffee
This is one of our new favorites! Reservations fill up way in advance, so if you are interested we found the best luck reserving at midnight when reservations open over a month in advance (i.e., reservations for October will be released on September 1st at midnight). Brennan's favorite is the Tavern Burger, and Sammy normally skips dessert but cannot pass on the banana creme brulee cheesecake!
