The Smokehouse Lodge & Cabins
The Smokehouse has been a fixture of downtown Monteagle since the 1960s. The lodge has comfortable hotel rooms and cabins. The Smokehouse restaurant, which is said to have inspired Cracker Barrel, was a wonderful place to shop for gifts and trinkets and enjoy live music and delicious smoked meats with all the fixins. Unfortunately the restaurant burned down in 2021. Now, the Smokehouse Patio Grill offers live music, cold beer, and simple, tasty food in a fun atmosphere.

The Sewanee Inn
The Sewanee Inn is a beautiful boutique hotel located on the campus of the University of the South, only a short 10 minute drive from Monteagle. If you are a golfer you'll enjoy Sewanee's world class golf course. The bar at the Sewanee Inn is a great place to go for happy hour. You can sit on the patio around one of the fire pits or admire the striking Audobon prints.

AirBNBs in Monteagle and Tracy City are a great option for the weekend. We live in Tracy City, so if you stay anywhere in the Monteagle/Tracy City area you will be near us and the wedding venue! Be aware that you will need a car or to coordinate rides, as the area isn't very walk-able. If you stay near friends in one of the tiny house communities and one of you has a car, that would work well.

Lodging at St. Mary's Convent
Stay with the Sisters! The Sisters of St. Mary offer cozy lodging accommodations on their serene property just a few minutes from downtown Sewanee. This is a great option if you'll need a quiet space to relax and unwind after the wedding festivities. The Sisters are wonderful and have been friends of Emily's since her college days.

Camp Swann Cabins
Camp Swann is right down the road from where we live. Located on the beautiful Grundy Lakes, it is a renovated summer camp. Each of the cabins is adorned with unique bright and funky decor.

If you're renting a car at the airoport or driving from Nashville or Chattanooga with a few extra seats, consider offering a ride to folks who are flying into town or coming from the same place.
