September is a really popular time of year to visit Estes Park. The leaves are changing, the elk are at lower elevations, and housing options fill up fast! We encourage you to reserve as early as possible! At the bottom you'll find transportation suggestions.

How to get from the airport (DIA) to Estes Park

Rumor has it that rental cars are pricey at the Denver airport; however, there are a wide variety of options! We've listed a few ideas separately that might help. You could ask for a ride from a local, but note that you may have better luck getting a ride from Denver or Boulder to Estes. *Also keep in mind, there are limited options for transportation around Estes Park. Uber/Lyft isn't really a thing up there.

Travel Note

Estes Park Shuttle

Take the shuttle all the way from the airport to Estes (pre-purchase tickets) for $85 round trip. Note that there is limited public transportation once in Estes. *If you are staying at the ranch, someone will likely be able to pick you up in town and drive you to the ranch.

Travel Note

RTD Bus from DIA to Boulder

You could take the bus to Boulder and rent a car in town. Public transportation is good in Boulder and its only about 1 hour up to Estes from there. You may even be able to bum a ride from a local attending the wedding. Boulder also has more housing options!

Train

RTD Train from DIA to Denver

You could take the train to Denver (Union Station or another stop) and rent a car in the city or try to bum a ride. Public transportation is good in Denver.
