Question

What should I wear? Is there a dress code?

Answer

We're pretty laid back. The ceremony is outside in July. The reception in also all open space in a shelter house. There will be a bounce house for children, so please bring them clothes to play in. Dressy casual, just no tshirts and basketball shorts, please! Ideas for girls: sundresses, dressy tank with capris or jeans. Ideas for men: khaki pants or shorts, light button up, no bro tanks.

Will the ceremony and reception be at the same place?

Answer

Yes. Ceremony and reception are at Huber Lakehouse 2521 Engle Rd Borden, IN 47106.

Will the ceremony and reception be indoors or outdoors?

Answer

The ceremony and reception will be outdoors. The reception will be under a tent and pavilion. There is a really nice breeze from the lake and there will be fans.

What happens after the ceremony?

Answer

Food and beverages will be served immediately following the ceremony. You will take your chairs from the ceremony with you, choose a table, and the DJ will dismiss you to the buffet by table number. The bar will be open immediately following the ceremony.

Will there be alcohol?

Answer

Yes, we are providing an open bar. If there is a particular beer or alcohol you want to be served, you can bring it but you MUST put it behind the bar. If you wish it to only be served to you, just let our fabulous bartenders know and they will take care of you!

Is the wedding 4th of July themed? Should we wear patriotic attire?

Answer

We are not doing a patriotic theme, but you are more than welcome to wear your red, white, and blue!

Where should I park?

Answer

There will be lots of parking in the field by the venue. There will be a parking attendant and signs to follow for parking. It is free parking.

Are kids welcome?

Answer

Yes! Weather permitting, we will have a bounce house and other outdoor activities for the kids so make sure to dress them casually or bring a spare set of clothes for them.

Do you have a hotel block reserved?

Answer

Yes. There are also cabins available at nearby Deam Lake. Visit our Travel page for more information on both of these!

Can I bring a date?

Answer

We have a strict guest list due to the size of our families. Please only bring the people who had an invite and RSVPed yes.

When is the RSVP deadline? Can I RSVP online or do I have to mail it in?

Answer

The RSVP deadline is June 4th. You can either RSVP online at https://www.zola.com/wedding/drunkonearlywine/rsvp or mail back the RSVP card provided.

What food will be served at the reception?

Answer

We are serving BBQ pork, a salad bar, and some other various sides. We will also have limited amounts of chicken tenders for children and picky eaters.

Where are you registered?

Answer

We are registered at Amazon and Target! But if you find similar items elsewhere for cheaper, we are all about saving money! Hop on over to our registry page to be redirected to it!

Is this an unplugged wedding?

Answer

Yes and no. Our officiant will give you a chance to take a couple pictures of us before the ceremony is underway. After that, please put your phones away until the reception. Feel free to post on social media anytime after the ceremony. Our hashtag is #DrunkOnEarlywine

Will there be transportation to and from the venue?

Answer

There will be a few Uber drivers on standby.
